Have you ever wished for a dog you could bring anywhere without the hassle or worry? No more pulling, lunging, jumping, or reactive behavior. While there are countless methods for training dogs, George Matheis of MCS Dog Training has spent the last 8 years demonstrating just how easy it is to achieve a calm and balanced dog. With over 3,500 dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and temperaments trained, his approach has proven effective time and again. This success is backed by more than 640 Five-Star Facebook reviews from satisfied clients. No shock collars, prong collars, harsh words. Just love and leadership.

Focused Based Canine Training is rooted in how dogs naturally communicate—through eye contact, movement, and touch. In this Intentional Dog Handling Workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of Focused Based Canine Training and how to apply it to any dog you encounter. You’ll discover how to maintain calmness and self-control, which naturally encourages dogs to follow your lead. No e-collars, prong collars, or treats are needed. It begins with mastering not just loose-leash walking but guiding your dog with just a fingertip. George advocates for sustainable dog handling, promoting a way of moving through life with your dog that prevents common stress and injuries, such as those affecting the hands, fingers, arms, and shoulders during walks.

George begins by personally working with each dog in the class before gradually transitioning them back to their owner, offering guidance and coaching throughout the process. From there, the training progresses to exercises such as focus drills, place training, long-lead work, and recall. The environment is designed to be relaxed and welcoming, allowing both you and your dog to progress at your own pace. As you become more comfortable, the exercises are adjusted to match your growing confidence and skill level.
