After working with over 3500 dogs and their families, hands down we can say that the two issues that cause the most stress and injuries are pulling on the lead and reactivity to other animals. The truth is that having any tension on the lead is not sustainable over time and will cause injuries. This leads to dogs not being walked and under socialized. Before a dog can be good around other dogs, they must first be trained to be indifferent and maintain focus on their handler even when they are in close proximity to other dogs.

We call it a walk. The dogs call it hunting. Whenever you leave the confines of your house, the dog is looking for two things: resources and threats. Dogs communicate with eye contact, movement, and touch…not verbally when they are hunting. During this intensive one-hour class, you will learn to lead your dog on a hunt. When you lead them, they no longer need to make decisions about what resources are important and what is and is not a threat. Without commands or treats, just tons of praise at the appropriate times, we will have you walking your dog on a loose lead with one finger using our Immediate Corrections & Traffic Lead that you get to keep ($60 value). The Immediate Correction Lead replaces all other collars and harnesses including prong collars. When dogs walk on a loose lead, their reactivity disappears. That’s why it is the first thing we work on during every In-Home Love & Leadership Training Course.

Learn to communicate with your dog in their own language and see what it feels like to naturally bond with your dog using nothing more than movement. During the clinic, everything will be fully explained, demonstrated, and pressure tested in real life situations. Afterwards, you will be provided with a follow up covering everything that you learned and have lifetime support through our MCS Dog Pack Facebook Group. You will also have the opportunity to attend FREE Pack Gatherings with other clients with their dogs to further pressure test the basics of Focused Based Canine Training in dynamic settings.

This class is open to any dog regardless of age, breed, size, or background without a legitimate bite history that we define as a bite that required another animal or person to seek professional medical attention. However, unlike most trainers, we are happy to work with and specialize in working with aggressive dogs in the home. We have found that what most describe as aggression in reality is just reactivity and only about 3% of dogs are truly aggressive.

All dogs are allowed to have two handlers.
