Azraella the 2 yo Olde English Bulldogge

This pretty girl fell victim to circumstances as many do. Mom had to travel out of town to take care of her parents during COVID. She was just not properly socialized and would go crazy at the site of any dog besides her bestie who is a 4 year old bulldog. Mom brought home a rescue that has had to be kept next door because of not getting along with Azraella. Last week after ending up on the ground in the front yard trying to get between the dogs Mom contacted a local trainer and without even seeing the dogs told her she had two choices “Rehome one or let them fight to the death.” Luckily someone told her about MCS.

These are the results in just one hour. When two dogs meet one or more people need to control that meeting. If the dogs focus is on the handler then will focus on them or be easily redirected. I believe neither dog to be dog aggressive. They both lack canine manners and don’t know how to introduce themselves. This will overwhelm the other dog until they react. Before dogs and be friends they have to share space. Keep in mind that like us, all dogs do not like all dogs. The need to be taught to avoid instead of being aggressive if that is the case. Many people could benefit from this habit.

The next step is to put muzzles on both of them and let them run free in the yard. During this time I will be monitoring them and stopping any aggressive behavior before it gets out of hand. Mom is relieved and excited.
